Brief History of HALL

Hall title is on the name of Pt. Madan Mohan Malviya . who was the great freedom fighter and have great contibution to the nation. he was the strong supporter and president of National Congress party. helped in establishing the Hindu Mahasabha ("Great society of Hindus") in 1906. given the slogen "Satyameva Jayte" He is also the founder of "Banaras Hindu University".

Hall have four Blocks. each are named on another great pereson.

Shankar Dayal Sharma Block

He was a Indian lawyer and politician who was elected as the president of all Indian Congress Committee (AICC) in 1972 and presided over the AICC session in Calcutta.
From 1974, He served in the unin cabinet as minister for communication from 1974 to 1977.

Daulat Singh Kothari Block

He was Indian Scientist and educationist.
He was chairman of the Indian Education Commission of 1964-66, popularly known as Kothari Commmission which was setup in India for the modernization and standardization of education in India.

Humayun Kabir Block

He was an Indian educationist and politician.
He took up a number of government posts after 1947 , including Mininster of Education.
He published a book of poems in Oxford in 1932. and continued to write poetry, short stories and novels after his return to India.
He also wrote essays and was a well respected orator.

Raja Ramanna Block

He was an Indian physicist.
He served as director of the BARC (1972-78) and (1981-83) and oversaw the country's first nuclear weapon test (1974). He also headed India's Atomic Energy Commission (1984-87) & served as secretary of defense research and as minister of state of defense.
